LYS Sports Academy becomes a member of USCAK

USCAK is the Ukraininan Sports Federation of U.S.A. and Canada, a coordinating body for sports events and championships conducted by 20-plus Ukrainian Sports Clubs.

In further news, LYS Director Myron Bytz was appointed Director of Volleyball for USCAK.

In more news, the 2007 USCAK Volleybal championships will be held in Morris County NJ on November 10.

Just wanting to say that it’s good to see that there are other Ukrainian diaspora volleyball clubs out there. Here in Australia we have a sportove tovarestvo called USC LION. We have three bases: Adelaide (South Australia), Melbourne and Geelong (both in the state of Victoria). I am the president of USC LION Melbourne. The USC LION name is also used by a couple of Ukrainian diaspora soccer clubs and a golf club. Basically as you might have guessed it all began with the first arrival of Ukrainian post war migrants. While it all began 100% Uke it has become harder and harder to maintain, but we make sure the origins aren’t forgotten.

Well I really just wanted to say G’day.

We’re working on a website currently so you keep an eye out for it.
