Note 1 - Teams do not play a balanced schedule. MSSL's primary consideration in 2005 is to provide teams with a high level of competition on those weeks that a given team participates, for player development and conditioning purposes. Above standings are utilized to qualify teams for MSSL Cup playoff consideration.

 

Note 2 -  Points are based on three points for a win plus one point for a tie, less one point for a loss. Acknowledging the unbalanced schedule, this points system rewards teams that participate regularly in league games, and achieve a positive result in the games played.

 

MSSL CUP - U23 MENS 2005

The MSSL Cup will be contested on the weekend of July 30-31 at Piscataway, NJ.

Group play (three 60 minute games) will be conducted on Saturday July 30.

Semi-finals, consolation game and final (70 minutes) will be conducted on Sunday July 31.

 

MSSL values its ability to provide games for its members throughout the summer, at a time of year when ensuring bona fide competition week in and week out can be problematic. As Cup play removes a team from the weekend league schedule, we provide this chart to accurately reflect games played.

"Cups" includes games at U23 Regional Finals, U20 Regional Finals and MSSL Cup playoffs.
