Dear Coach / Manager, Welcome to the NJ Futsal 2009 State Championships. We are looking forward to a wonderful competition to determine which teams will advance to represent our State at the Regional Championships. The schedules for each age group competition will be available about 8 to 10 days before your games, posted at http://www.socceragency.net/njfutsal/2009/09_StateChamp_Homepage.htm Directions to the indoor venues can be accessed from the same site. A nicely illustrated presentation of the Futsal Laws of the Game can be found on the USFF website at http://futsal.org/index.php/futsal-laws-of-the-game The specific rules covering the New Jersey State Championship competition should be read at http://www.socceragency.net/njfutsal/2009/09_Futsal_ChampRules.htm Moving on to administrative details: team registration will be prior to your first game. Please arrive at least 45 minutes before your first game to provide adequate time to process these matters. Each team will need to present a Player Registration & Release form for each youth player (http://futsal.org/us/youth.pdf) or adult player (http://futsal.org/us/amateur.pdf), fill out a Coaches Registration form (http://futsal.org/us/coach2.pdf), plus Team Roster (http://www.socceragency.net/njfutsal/2009/09_NJFutsal_Roster.pdf). You can print the forms from these sites. Teams that already have rosters and individual USFF player registrations filled out for participation in other recognized Futsal Leagues may use those forms. If you are not currently registered with NJ Futsal, please have each parent/player complete the Player Registration & Release form. Also complete the Team Roster Form for your team. For players not currently registered with US Futsal, the player registration fee is $4 per player to participate in the State Championships; make your check payable to “NJ Futsal”. We are using a streamlined registration process at a reduced registration cost for those initially participating solely in the State Championships, but teams that advance to the Regionals or who will be playing in full-time leagues will need to undertake the full player carding process and pay an additional $3/player. (A permanent player pass for $7.00 covers the player for all Futsal activities for the entire seasonal year.) You will need to bring a facial photograph (face must fill a square inch) when you apply for the permanent pass. The State Champion and Finalist at U10 / U11 / U12 / U13 / U14 / U16 / U17-U19 / Adult Open and Mens Over 35 automatically qualify to represent New Jersey at the USFF Northeast / Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships held over President’s Weekend on February 13-14 and hosted by the New York Futsal Association this year. Champions at U15 are eligible for At Large bids to play at the U16 age group at Regionals. Teams must still timely apply for the Regionals. Registration for the Regionals is restricted to State Champions, State Finalists and teams notified that they have received an At-Large spot. Again we look forward to a wonderful State Championship competition. Yours in Futsal,
